The Taylor Public School Foundation provides funding through the STAR programs.

As an organization dedicated to the progress and success of our schools, we support various projects and programs of the Taylor School District that would not otherwise be funded through the operating budget of the district. The majority of our support focuses on four major areas of interest: Scholarships, Technology, Arts, and Reading.

SCHOLARSHIPS

One of the primary functions of the Taylor Public School Foundation has been to distribute financial scholarships to graduating seniors of the Taylor Public Schools. Since 2012, the Foundation has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships to Taylor High School seniors.

TECHNOLOGY

The Taylor Public School Foundation awards grants and other resources to students, classrooms, and extra- curricular groups to support technology initiatives such as robotics, programming, and to fill technology-related gaps in the classroom. The foundation has supported a wide array of student programs, including learning and education, sports, extra curricular activities like the Robotics Team and Quiz Bowl.

ARTS

The Taylor Public School Foundation awards grants to students and teachers to support arts-related programs, including field trips to theaters, museums and more, as well as arts-related curriculum or endeavors.

READING

The Taylor Public School Foundation offers grants to teachers and educators to help improve early literacy instruction or programming to help students become powerful readers.
