The Taylor Public School Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 1986. It is made up of volunteers from businesses and the community to raise funds above and beyond the School District operating budget. It supports a variety of educational programs throughout the Taylor school district, K through 12, to enhance the education of our Taylor Public School students.
Examples of other educational projects the Foundation supports the awarding of Principal and Teacher Grants, the Career and Technical Center. The Education Foundation also supports the School District Fine Arts by supporting field trips to plays , and music events in the Detroit theater district and field trips to museums.
In the last 10 years, the foundation has awarded over $415,000. This includes more than $300,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors and more than $115,000 towards grants and other projects.
